New Era Pinstripe Bowl produces its highest rating

ESPN broadcast records 3.9 HH cvg rating, up 56 percent from 2011 01/06/2013
The final numbers have been relayed by ESPN, and the 2012 New Era Pinstripe Bowl recorded a 3.9 HH cvg rating, up from 2.5 in 2011 and 2.6 in 2010.

For bowls this season prior to New Year's Day, only the Chick-fil-A Bowl (5.6 HH cvg rtg) and the Alamo Bowl (4.8 HH cvg rtg) beat out the New Era Pinstripe Bowl in terms of overall ratings.

After drawing a 2.5 total rating in 2011, the New Era Pinstripe Bowl's 56 percent ratings increase was the second-largest for all bowls on ESPN through Jan. 1, 2013. Only the Armed Forces Bowl (+62 percent) beat out the New Era Pinstripe Bowl for largest HH increase this year vs. last year.
